Meeting with old Penang friends is always a thrill. Despite how close you were with them or just regular "hi" "bye" friends.
Usually youngsters would have like a regular group they hang out with. And they stick together from 7 am all the way to 1pm...sometimes more..like after school activities and stuff.
I have to admit i wasn't them regular youngsters. I had numerous of groups.
From the "popular girls group" to the "invisible girls group" to the "study all the time girls" to the "notorious group"
I loved to hang out with all of them. (which is why i have so many f#*king weddings to attend)
Anyways.. I had the opportunity to meet up with 3 old friends that i haven't catch up with since primary? i think but we were still in the same school but somehow we became or of a hi bye friend when we turned older.
It started very formally with the usual, "Hi! how are you?" and "So what are you doing now?" and finally "Ooo so you attach or single? When getting married lar", Apparently it's the "age" to talk about getting married-(ALREADY!?!?!) The subject of marriage somehow or rather usually ends up in the who-you-know is married topic. We found out later, not only many our age are married but some divorced, divorced with kid, has a kid but no husband (with bf) and remarried.
GOSH I LOVE GOSSIPS!
Can't blame me man...I'm a women you know. Its in our nature to gossip.
The usual "lim kopi" session ended up late and dinner was included. It was hard at the beginning since i wanted to catch up with Shereen and Joanna yet i also wanted to catch up with David. But you see, the way i talk to David and the way i talk to the girls are different. But it ended up fine..
